Wrong Object Position usign LiveSync with 3DsMax

Good afternoon.

I’m having problems using LiveSync for 3DsMax.

When synchronizing the scene, some models appear displaced from their correct position, this does not happen with the general model, only with some models.

It is possible that it is due to using groups or instances, the fact is that LiveSync is very unstable in that sense when you use a 3DsMax model with many groups and instances.
Any solution?

– Edit –

I´ve installed the Sync version again (not LiveSync) and it works fine.
I prefer to continue working with the previous version until LiveSync is more stable.

Hi Visnei,

you can actually make it work, you see when you use the normal version it asks you if you need to change axis to y/-y or some other option, but in live synch it’s in settings. try changing it and it may works.

another work around is, try to move objects which are in wrong place in D5, they usually go back to right place. even if you move it, then press Ctrl Z.

and lastly, if none worked, create a copy of the object in wrong place (Using Ctrl V) and remove the original.

after all in LiveSync is Beta, it’s completely natural not to be as stable as normal version which is at V 3.4.

MJ

I have tried different options like copying the object, moving it to a new position… The situation is that it is a quite complex scene with many elements such as duplicated tables and chairs (instances), signs, decorative objects… which are difficult to identify. For simple projects in general, it has not given me many problems, as I mentioned it is not a problem that occurs with the complete model, they are duplicated models within the scene, especially when they are within a group.
The truth is that I don’t have much time to continue testing since I have to finish a project, so I will continue with the stable Sync version and try to review it in a few weeks.

Likewise, thank you very much for your reply. :raised_hands:
