Working with a synchronized file in different PCs

Hi there…

Has anyone here tried to work a synchronized single file with two or more different PC´s?
I expected to do so by placing the file in a shared GOOGLE DRIVE folder.
But when I open the file I get a window with the “INADEQUATE PERMISSION” legend.
I checked the editors permissions, but no case.

Is it even possible? How would you do that?

Hello, first you can check whether the file path is too long or contain non-English characters that may cause the problem. If both not, then I guess it is Google drive that blocks D5 Render.

You can map the google drive to a local place then try again, but we still do not recommend to sync files in different PCs that way, since 3rd-party drive like Google drive may compress or process those files and affect the integrity of D5 scene files.

Thanks,
Oliver

Ok Oliver, but then how can we synchronize scenes smoothly on two different machines? If there is a reliable system, please explain it.

Thank you.
