why we cant render orthographic and no automatic background transparency?

im using d5 for interior and industrial design,
can i render for orthographic view? because render option i think disable (picture)

and

i know we can create alpha channel but if there option for automatic background transparency option, it will great. its really helpful if the option is ready.

Hello, thank you for your suggestions. In 2.0 we cannot render orthographic views, but we will be able to do so in 2.1, which will come out soon. :smiley:

Ok, could you tell me what background do you mean? those models, or HDRI/geosky?

the result is file have transparency background (.PNG) after we photoshop, so we can put item in layout without background.

Hello, after 1year from this post i can also support this kind of feature.
I would like to see (it will be very good) to have immediately export render without background option. I know that there are channels but it all take time to “trim”… This option is very useful when doing photomontage…
