I’m currently working on a laptop, and despite having the specs shown in the attached image, I’m experiencing significant lag while using D5. It’s been quite frustrating, and although I’ve tried various optimization tips I found online (which helped a bit), the performance is still not ideal.
If you happen to know of any specific settings or adjustments that could help improve performance on a laptop, I would greatly appreciate your advice. I’m also wondering whether this level of lag is to be expected on laptops compared to desktops, or if there might be an issue with my device in particular.
I also recorded this video to show how much lag I’m experiencing. It may not seem too bad when watching the video, but in reality, it’s often very difficult to work because of the frequent lag.
D5 is reliant on your GPU, and dealing with complex projects with large file sizes will depend on your GPU Memory. Currently, I’m only using a laptop with 8GB VRAM, and lag is expected most especially in files that are quite heavy.
