Watermark when losing internet connection

Hi guys. I thought version 2.10 had fixed the most annoying render feature, watermarks appearing on our images after having lost internet connection for a millisecond? it still keeps happening. when i start the render process i have a connection, i am logged into my pro account yet after the render is complete, i can in 75% of case re-render and hope for the best. it’s utterly frustrating and an issue that you guys have to address. we’re paying for a pro program and get treated like free costumers. it’s completely unnecessary demanding a valid internet connection all of the time and now becoming one of the main reasons i’m considering to leave D5 behind.

Hi @merlin.bartholomaeus

I apologize for the inconvenience. As we have mentioned before, in the 2.10 Update, we’ve implemented a solution where your PRO account status is checked per project in the rendering queue. Therefore, normal short-term network fluctuations should no longer result in watermark issues for users.

Otherwise, these may not be momentary network fluctuations, or your D5 Account was logged in on a different device if watermark assets are appearing completely after the render.

  • Was your account logged off after the render finished?
  • Does it happen each time D5 renders for more than an hour?
  • Or does it only happen when you render overnight? If so, please generate a log file immediately and submit it to us so we can investigate, you can send it to me privately here in forum. Log File - How to use Support Tool? | User Manual

Note: For testing purposes, we suggests switching to another network if possible.

Hi Clov. I wasn’t aware this only applies for the rendering queue. I often just render several images directly, without the queue, and then once the render is done I find them with the watermark. I proably lose internet connection while rendering. Logistically I cannot switch to another network in my aparment, I have to use the wifi instead of a LAN. Maybe it’s possible to add the same functionality for rendering single images, instead of just for the render queue?

On another side note - since yesterday I had to re-enter my login information more than 30 times while working with D5 - isn’t it possible to save the login information? Having to copy / paste my password every time is also a bit of an annoyance :see_no_evil:

Hi @merlin.bartholomaeus

Alright, do you usually leave your device open overnight to render several images or videos? If it happens again, please generate a log file for us and share some information too. We will try to investigate and see if it’s more than just network fluctuation.

Additionally, I’ll forward your suggestions further to our team. Thank you.
