Walk mode issues

=Hello, I’m having a problem with the Walk Mode in D5 Render.
Every time I switch to Walk, the camera is teleported far away from my model, outside the scene.
I can’t understand why.

I tested several things:

  • I imported a very large ground plane from Rhino (an “infinite floor”), correctly placed at Z = 0
  • I positioned the camera just above this floor

But Walk Mode always sends me outside of the model, as if D5 didn’t detect any ground under the camera, even though the plane exists and is visible.

Could you please explain why Walk Mode might ignore a ground mesh imported from Rhino, and how to fix this behavior?

Thank you.

Hi @julienpaulus

Could you provide a screenshot or short screen recording showing how the camera behaves in Walk Mode on your infinite floor from Rhino?

D5 has its built-in Terrain feature which creates a default infinite plane (ground) that the Walk/terrain/landscape system recognizes properly. Please check it out and see if Walk mode works fine. Thanks
