Video Render Queue - Output different

I’ve just done a load of video renders using the render queue, and the output is different from the preview. However if I do just a single video render, it comes out as expected.

Hi @henry1

To help us investigate, could you please elaborate and provide a few more details so we can better understand why the render queue output differs from single video renders. Please confirm the following:

  1. D5 version you’re using.
  2. Number of videos rendered in the queue, and their resolution/format.
  3. Are all videos in the queue showing different output from the preview, or just some?
  4. Any special effects or post-processing applied to the scenes (e.g., bloom, AI enhancer, wind, animated objects).
  5. Render settings used in the queue versus single video render (same resolution, quality, frame rate?).
  6. Screenshots or a short clip showing the difference between preview and rendered output, if possible.

Thank you. I look forward to your response.

Hello,

I think there might be something to do with which view I have selected in the LH views panel that determines how they render out. I don’t do massive amounts of videos so this might just be a mistake from my side.

  1. 2.11.1.0623 (updated yesterday)
  2. 4no videos, 1080x1920
  3. All 4 came out darker than the preview
  4. Nothing special to note.
  5. I didn’t specifically change anything; they were all set up off one of the renders.
  6. Attached screenshot of the single export and the batch export.

Thanks

Hi @henry1

Thank you for the details. Is your D5 Super Resolution turned off or on when you rendered this video? Thanks

Hello, no the super resolution is turned off but the FPS Booster for Complex Geometry is turned on.

Hello, Yer I’m still having issues with this, I’m just doing my Xmas post and I ran a short video clip and again it’s a lot darker than it should be. Any ideas? See attached the render and the video clip difference. I need whatever this problem is to not be happening!

Hi @henry1

Thank you for the update and for sharing the comparison images and we apologize for this inconvenience.

While some minor discrepancies between the preview and the rendered output are expected—both for single and batch video exports—the difference should generally be very subtle. Based on what you’ve shared, the variation does appear more significant than expected.

We will be testing this behavior on the D5 Render 3.0 beta version to check whether the issue persists. I’ll keep you updated once we have more information or a potential fix. Thank you for your patience.
