Video Edit | clicking first frame of a shot shows the last frame of a previous shot

When clicking the first frame of a shot, the preview shows the last frame of the previous shot. It happens consistently, so I suppose there’s some sort of bug with the new ‘shot’ addition in the video editing.

Now that I mentioned it, I wonder it might because ease in or out? Perhaps frames passes over the next shot? In any case, the preview should correctly move / show the first frame of the shot that’s clicked.

Do you mean when you select one camera, the start point should be the first frame of the shot? Unlike the screenshot.

When selecting the first frame of a shot (circled), the preview shows the last frame of the previous shot (indicated as arrow in screenshot)

Both shots are “Linear.” Logically, the preview should be showing the first frame of a shot (circled in screenshot) because, well, that is what’s selected.

Hi mate, with two adjacent shots, the last view of the previous shot is generally untimed, meaning that the last view of the previous shot and the start view of the next shot are theoretically at the same point in time.

There is a special treatment of how to calculate the time at this kind of interface to ensure that we can accurately cut to the target view, this problem does exist, we will improve it as soon as possible, thank you very much for your feedback.

I hope that this gets fixed soon. Would you have any idea on when it could be fixed?

Now it’s very difficult and time consuming to update environment for the first frame of the shot because you have to manually slide the time bar.

Hi mate, can you delete the main part of the design areas, leaving the people asset, save as another file, and send it to us for troubleshooting? thanks a lot. We usually repair the bug based on these bugged scenes. It may accelerate the process.

Here’s a link with the linked model removed.
Another question is, why is D5 project folder so big? It is a large project, but I don’t think this is overly large. The folder is 3.4gb. Aren’t all assets supposed to be saved in a specific folder (roaming) so that each individual project folder doesn’t get big?

But every project folder is several gb. Is this normal?

Hi mate, It’s normal If your assets in D5 and local objects are big. Also, you can consider moving or deleting the backup files if the scene is saved without problems.

I didn’t realize how big the folder is, and uploading to dropbox took a long time. Could you try downloading again, please? the uploading has been completed.

The backup folder is empty, and it’s the asset folder that’s huge. Again, my question is, aren’t all assets supposed to be saved one folder so that other projects use saved assets from the folder? Not really understanding why each project creates several asset folders and take up huge space.

could you please know if the file from the dropbox link works now?

It works, we are checking it. Sorry for the delay.

Hi Isong, Thank you so much for your files, we find the bug and will fix it as soon as possible.
