Good day, I am a lecturer at a university in Istanbul. I have included the D5 Render program in my course curriculum and had it installed on 60 computers in our laboratories. However, before I could even start the classes, an update was released and the program became unusable.
For institutions like universities, where installation on many machines is required and involves a lengthy approval process, is there an option to continue using the program without updating? If the software becomes unusable every time an update is released, it is not possible to rely on it for preparing course schedules, exams, and projects.
Can you please specify the behavior that has occurred when making D5 unusable on these devices?
D5 Updates both in D5Render & Launcher require confirmation to proceed; you can opt to cancel the update every time the prompt has appeared.
How was the update carried out or perhaps the download? You may try to reinstall using the silent installation method How to install D5 Render? | User Manual
D5 Launcher, warned that there is an update and didn’t let me to use D5.
It is a University lab computer, it doesn’t let anyone except from IT department to install anything. I have to report the update and wait for them to install to 60 computers in 2 labs. This can take 2 weeks sometimes.
