Ultimate computer specs for D5

Hi, My commercial visulaising practise is planning to upgrade some of our computer workstations. We’re looking for recommendations on the ultimate setup that would deliver:

  • Fast rendering times
  • Smooth performance with extremely large and complex projects
  • Minimal FPS drops or system lag
  • Very Little to No crashs.

Could you advise on the ideal hardware configuration to achieve this level of performance?

this is my newly computer:

wow… can only imagine how smooth it is

all smooth only one project not that smooth hahaha

all works on GPU not on CPU. GPU is best Nvidia

Its crazy how even with your ultra high spec, a project was a little buggy. What was the size of that project?

not all buildings visible.

Atm an error with the scatter so that is fun.

Hi @george1

We usually comment or recommend which type of GPU to look for and to get. A more latest GPU does have a significant impact in the rendering speed but when it comes to Complex and very large scenes a larger VRAM plays a huge role.

  • Personally, having an RTX 4090 with 48 gb VRAM is convenient and there were no crashing occurred ever since.

If you’re able to get a strong GPU with a large VRAM then that would be ideal.

Hi @3d-ontwerp-visualisa

If there are some major and concerning problems with this project, I do suggest creating a new forum topic and provide us the detailed information about it. Let me know.
