Ever since I upgraded to the newest version, it seems that when I turn on “true displacement” for some materials, it starts causing other materials to completely disappear from the project.
For example (the picture below), it has temporarily removed all materials with “drywall” from the scene, so all of the interior side of each wall is gone. To fix this, I have to switch the material on a wall and then back to drywall. This brings the drywall back, but then removes a material somewhere else that I have to search for.
Anyone else having this issue? It typically doesn’t start until I use true displacement for something. I’ve since turned off all true displacement, but still happening now.
Thank you for reporting this issue, and I apologize for the inconvenience caused. This appears to be related to how meshes are recalculated after displacement is applied.
To better understand your situation, could you please confirm the following:
What exact D5 version are you currently using?
Was the model fully imported into D5?
After turning off True Displacement and restarting D5, does the issue still occur?
Is your project saved locally, or is it stored in a cloud-synced folder (OneDrive, Google Drive, etc.)?
Does this happen in all projects or only in this specific file?
