I imported my rhino model into D5, but it is upside down in top view. (see my screenshots of D5 & Rhino view). Is there any way I can set the coordination system same as I have it in Rhino other than live sync?
May I ask which plug-in version you are currently using? I tested it on my end by Livesync and direct import and it seems to follow the same axis as what was set in Rhino. Can you perhaps provide us with a detailed steps on how to replicate this issue?
My Plug-in version - Please download the latest version
My Rhino, D5 & D5 plug-in are all the latest version (See below):
My plug-in version:
Direct import is the one I have problem with. In your test file, did you rotate the model in D5? notice I did not rotate the model and only place is in D5 but the top view is upside down.
D5 uses Left-handed coordinate system while 3ds Max/SketchUp and some other software use a right-handed coordinate system, so there will be discrepancies between them.
Solution: It is suggested to use the D5 Converter plugin to sync the top view perspective in modeling software. This can make the top-view effect be consistent with that in the modeling software.
Even when live sync, when I click the “add scene”, the scene I saved is still flipped even the small thumbnail still shows the correct direction as my Rhino model.
