The Problem of Led Strip Bounce

Hi, I have a problem about the led strip. If there is a stage in the area where I will use the led strip, the led strip bounce does not give the correct result. In order to get the right result, I need to cut the strip led into pieces, and this also takes time. When you use a single strip, that is, in places where there is no single surface, the light does not bounce and it remains dark.

Hello, I tested but the result is not like yours, the light intensity parameters are the same between the two types of lights?

Yes, the light intensities are the same on both sides. So is there a cascade on the surface of the model you are testing? As in my model, first the wall surface at the back, then the wooden surface (in front) (10cm), then the wall surface at the back again. If there is no cascade, the result will already be the same. But if there is a cascade, the light jump will be insufficient. I think this algorithm works like this: the linear strip we place bounces light from the center of the light. No matter how large the strip length is, if there is a cascade in front of it, the jump sent from the center leaves some places dark.

I also agree about cascades. They can cause differences in the brightness of the lighting.

Hello, we will release a new version next week, D5 Render 2.2.1. Please test this function with the new version that time, because we made some adjustments on it.

Thanks,
Oliver

You need to consider the curves of the surface before installing LEDs. Some people even bend the strip lights a little to make them look more natural on these curves, but I am not sure that it works. I think that you just need some good LED lights like the ones from Best RGB Smart Strip Lights | Smart LED Strip | LED Strip Lights. They will look nice in any room, and I think that you will not notice any difference in lightning. The good thing is that you can control them from your phone, and you would be able to fix the lightning to the level that you want.
