“Could not reach server (timeout) 127.0.0.1:12121”
This usually means the LiveSync plugin can’t connect to D5 Render’s local sync server. Can you please try the following steps (if you haven’t tried them yet, you may also confirm which step you’ve already done) :
Restart your computer
This often clears stuck processes or port connections.
Open D5 Render first
Let D5 fully load before starting LiveSync from your modeling software.
Restart all D5 processes
Open Task Manager , end any D5 Render.exe and D5Launcher.exe processes, then launch D5 Render again.
Make sure both apps have the same permissions
Run both normally, or run both as Administrator . Avoid mixing the two.
If another application is using the port, close it and try LiveSync again.
Temporarily disable VPN, proxy, or antivirus
These can sometimes interfere with localhost connections. If LiveSync works afterward, add D5 Render and your modeling software to their exceptions.
This applies to all D5 LiveSync plugins, including Rhino, Revit, SketchUp, 3ds Max , and others, since they use the same local port (12121 ) to communicate with D5 Render.
If the issue persists, please send us your **D5 Render version, LiveSync plugin version, modeling software/version, and your log files
