I am a D5 user from Korea. With the City feature, I can load some areas of New York, but I can’t load any locations in Korea. It keeps saying ‘Please try again later,’ but it has not been working for over a month.
I tried to generate a City on my end using the same country as you have set it. It is generated normally on my end.
- Could you please access the official OpenStreetMap website and export a data file for the exact geographic coordinates I used in D5 Render? This will help us verify if any discrepancies or features present in OSM are being accurately reflected by D5’s City Generator, as it relies on OSM data.
Hi @spencer.k527 Thank you for sharing the file. D5 relies on the OSM data to generate the city context in D5. Therefore, if these files can be accessed normally on OSM then it should be available within D5.
However, I have experienced similar issues while trying to download city data from a coordinate closer to yours. I’ll check this issue with our team and revert as soon as possible. Apologies for the inconvenience.
This issue is caused by the negative longitude value, Negative longitudes are used for locations west of the Prime Meridian (down to -180°). In the image that you have sent, and Anthony’s test, it seems that the value is at -232.41268, which is entirely wrong.
We have addressed this issue, and the fix will be released together with the new version of D5 Render. For now, we recommend not rapidly scrolling through the OSM Map to prevent having a negative longitude.
