For some reason, the models i import (.fbx) have broken textures around most of its axis, i tried reloading it, used diffrent textured and even redone the model but it just breaks in this weird way.
if i set my view mode to “clay” it still looks like this.
i am new to modelling so sorry if all this sounds unproffesional
Hi there,
I apologize for the inconvenience this issue has caused. Have you tried enabling “Triplanar” or modifying these parameters? Thank you.
Can you send me that file? I’d be happy to take a look.
May I know which 3d Modeling software you used to create the model? If it’s possible, can you send us your .fbx file so we can test it on our end and see what we can do about it. You may send it to support@d5techs.com and have it titled ‘Clov-Forum Textures Break on Specific Axis’
Thank you.
sent it rn
Thanks for sending thefiles. May I know which 3d Modeling software was used to create these .fbx files? I have requested via google drive to grant me access in the files that you have sent. Thanks.
yeah i used “blockbench” (usually used to make minecraft models), used the “generic model” tab whitch lets me do more than cubes
I have tested your file, and the problem also exists on my end. Are there any options in Block Bench which perhaps modify the UV Mapping? Kind of similar to Rhino or 3dsMax that can set the UVW Mapping to follow the object shape.
Additionally, I tried to import your .fbx file to 3dsMax and then activated the LiveSync, and it seems that this has resolved the issue, you can try it on your end. I also suggest using the supported 3d Modeling Software to ensure smooth flow with D5.
Sadly not for meshes.
i could try to move the texture mapping but that does not fix it as this issue appears on other models whare the mapping is diffrent
That’s unfortunate. Sorry about that. Do you perhaps have 3dsMax installed in your device? As I’ve mentioned:
