Texture Mapping Size Issue in D5 Render Interface

I use SketchUp and D5 Render. In the D5 Render interface, the texture mapping size appears inconsistent in different areas of the model. I have taken a screenshot showing this issue. As you can see in the screenshot, the Triplanar option is active. How can I fix this?

Hi @ferhat.cerkes

I apologize for the inconvenience. Does this occur only to this specific material/surface? And what does this look like in SketchUp?

May I also know the following:

  • D5 Render Version
  • Livesync Version

Perhaps you can please send us this particular model and its D5 File? (you can separate this model from the main file to decrease the file size)?

However, there are cases where texture sizes differ within SketchUp. Since the project is very large, it’s not possible for me to manually match the texture sizes inside SketchUp. I expect D5 Render to treat all surfaces consistently regarding texture scaling. Is this possible? Because with the software I used before D5 Render, I was able to handle this easily. In general, I work on projects covering millions of square meters, and texture management seems like it might become a problem

Hi @ferhat.cerkes

Thanks for your insights and feedback. It does sound unusual, and getting to the bottom of it is definitely the right approach. To help us figure out what’s going on with this specific texture, could you please share it with us in a separate SketchUp file? This will allow us to:

  • Identify the root cause of the problem and implement a fix.
  • Evaluate the texture’s properties for potential support in future updates, in case it’s a unique type.

Sending over the SketchUp file containing just the problematic texture would be incredibly helpful. Thanks so much for your cooperation.

Hello again,

i sent a mail to the support team with 3d model. Thanks for your interest.

Hi @ferhat.cerkes

We’ve reviewed your file. D5 Render reads the material scale as defined in SketchUp. To resolve any unexpected mapping differences, please ensure the material scales are set correctly and consistently within your SketchUp project.

If this is unintentional, it might be a bug within SketchUp, or perhaps this is also within SketchUp’s expectation because they are grouped within a group (an inception of groups)

You can either:

  • Explode this portion of the model until they have the same texture scale
  • Or right click on the surface (go inside the groups) > Select > All with the same material > Reapply the material
