Synchronization and File Path Issues

Synchronization and File Path Issues:
Navigating the inner system of D5, particularly in terms of synchronization, refreshing, file path modifications, and file name changes, has been a source of immense frustration. The lack of a comprehensive and detailed manual that clarifies these processes has had a detrimental impact on our projects. Regrettably, we’ve lost over 20-30 hours of work due to unexplained incidents that caused our model to vanish or our materials to reset. This has been a deeply frustrating experience.

Thanks for your feedback. We feel so sorry for the inconvenience.
Can you tell me what did you do to make your model disappear?

When using the synch mode either with Sketchup or 3dsmax, instructions are not clear about what should be done in different scenarios. like changing the name or the file path of the original 3dscene breaks D5. sometimes the buttons for refreshing the model or replacing it are greyed out. sometimes warning appear that can not be found in the manual. if you lose all materials of the model there’s no way to get them back.
In Lumion, when attempting something risky or new, you can always save the material set or save the original file in a deferent name.
I don’t think solving those issues separately is effective, which is why I advise you to update the manual with all possible combinations and error types and how to solve them etc.
