Am I missing something or are exteriors completely broken in spatial tours?
I love the spatial tours because they save a lot of time versus trying to do panorama tours the traditional way. However there appears to be absolutely zero support for exterior panoramas. Upon having exteriors in my view, the dollhouse completely breaks. I find this amazing to me because isn’t this exactly what D5 is for? Why would this feature only work for half of the model?
I’d love to be able to manually add exterior panos to interior dollhouses, or the ability to set certain views to ignore for dollhouse. Right now I have to send a tour to a client and tell them to ignore the giant “3D” button, which is not ideal.
Has anyone thought of a more creative solution to showing exterior renderings as part of the spatial tour package? I’d really rather not have to settle for doing traditional pano tours because they are so time consuming to set up.
Also, while I’m here… do spatial tours copy hotspots applied in D5 myspace web portal between updates to the same tour? I’m expecting to need to rerender the spatial tour 3-5+ times as this project progresses and I’m hoping it saves the hotspots between new exports of the same project. Does it actually do this or will I need to remake the entire project on D5 myspace every time there is an update to re-render for?
EDIT: It appears the floorplan feature is completely broken & pointless. The rotations don’t match up at all with what I set the rotation to and they get jumbled if you happen to combine navigating around on the floor with clicking the floor plan. I’m embarrassed I have to send this to my client tomorrow. There is no logic to their position, they get jumbled on the floor plan every single time I move around the tour. I’d rather disable the rotation component completely and just have them work as easy, simple, foolproof anchor points on a map instead of this half baked broken feature that makes me look sloppy.
