Spatial and XR Tour without D5render in URL

Hi there. I love the fact that we as Pro users can now use the spatial and XR tour, but I don´t love the fact that it is hosted on a D5render URL. For me, but also my clients, this is not ok (and not professional). Is there a work-around with a generic URL and/or an option where it can be added to for instance a website?

Also, I read about the option of downloading it with an .exe file, but I don´t see this option either. In instruction videos I´ve watched nobody makes this clear neither.

Hope there is a solution,
Thanks.

Hi @abenmark72

Thank you for your feedback and for sharing your concerns.

You mean to embed the tour directly on your own website, so the visible domain would be your company’s rather than D5 Render’s?

At the moment, Spatial and XR Tours are hosted exclusively on D5 Render’s Showreel platform, which means the generated share link will use a D5 Render domain. Unfortunately, there is currently no built-in option to customize the URL or replace it with a generic or custom domain.

If you have suggestions or feature requests, you’re very welcome to submit them in our “Ideas & Requests” section, where our product team actively reviews user feedback.

Hi Ela, thank you for your answer. I will submit the idea to the ´ideas and requests´ section, because it is really a pity it isn´t possible. I wanted to create a virtual showroom for one of my clients (for its clients to visit and to discover the product range), but it would be on a URL like it is the case now (D5 domain) and that is not professional and with that, not possible. Really a shame, so I hope there will be a solution soon because this costs me a very interesting project…

Thanks,
Mark

Hi, actually if you need to host the spatial and XR tour locally, it is totally possible with some “vibe coding” approaches.

  1. You can use tools like Claude Code to host your spatial tour files on your own server — this is 100% technically feasible. However, a self-hosted version will not support some advanced features from the D5 panorama editor, such as background music or custom hotspots. Also, you may want to confirm the license scope with D5 sales, because as far as I know, part of the spatial tour is based on a licensed third-party panorama solution. If you are not using a paid version, I would not recommend doing this.
  2. Self-deployment of XR tours is also possible. You can follow this document:
D5 XR Open Workflow | User Manual
Download the trained .ply file locally, then use Claude Code with open-source Web 3D rendering libraries such as SuperSplat or SparkJS to load the file and deploy it on your own domain.
  3. If your concern is mainly about the domain, I can suggest a third approach:
You can embed the spatial and XR tour link into a custom webpage built with your own “vibe coding” setup. This allows you to have full control over presentation while still using D5’s hosting, which also helps reduce your infrastructure cost.
The effect would be similar to this example:

Thanks, I will take a look at it and see if it solves my issue!
