Slow to Change when making adjustments like materials or object visibility

When I make a change to a material, lighting, or object visibility, etc… D5 “fades” in th new look. Sometimes when affecting object visibility, the old object does not dissappear completely until I move the camera. When adjusting materials or lights this is not useful because it takes more time to make decisions, when comparing one material or lighting setup to another… especially when evaluating small adjustments.

Is this normal?

Is this a setting I can turn off?

Thanks!

The same phenomenon occurs with me as well.

Hello. You can check if your ram or vram is over occupied which is causing the software to lag. Also, please show us your current system information.

I would also suggest you to record a video of this issue and share it with us.

same here.
occurs also in small scenes. (with 64Gb RAM and 12Gb VRAM)

Hello! Is it convenient for you to record a video of this issue and share it with me? So that we may better find what cause your problem.

at the moment it occurs when changing the colour of a decal. no matter what changes you make in the values, the colour on screen stays the same until you move your viewpoint (scrollwheel on mouse), only then the colour on screen changes to the new values

LunaLang - Are you saying this is not expected behavior? Or that you are not sure? If I figure out how to video my screen I might record it.

Here is my system info…

ek1 - Thank you for confirming. If other users have experienced this it would be great to hear from them as well.

Thank you for your reply. We don’t know exactly how the problem behaves at the moment, so it could be a bug, or it could be due to your device’s environment. We need to confirm this, and if a video would be helpful.
I noticed that you seem to have an older driver, I would suggest that you try updating the driver to the latest version and then check if you are still having the same problem as before.
