Sketch up sync problem

I had my SketchUp model in D5 Render, and they were working synchronized. Then I made an update to the model, and when I synchronized again, my buildings disappeared. How can I get my buildings back? I tried restarting both programs, but it didn’t work. The SKP version is 2023, and D5 is the latest version.

I apologize for the inconvenience. Were your SKP and D5 files stored in cloud storage? If so, we don’t recommend such a workflow yet. Please download them first to your local folder.

  • After downloading them in your local directory, you may open your D5 File first then your SKP file, then proceed to enable the Live-sync plug-in.

Does the issue still persist even if you have relinked the model?

Yes it does, but when i closed live sync and deleted live synced model then i imported skp file manually, the problem looks solved. Nevertheless, I still require live sync functionality.

Then, relinking the model via Live-sync still causes the main model to disappear after some time?

  • Can you attach a video recording of your own process? We would like to review it.

I had been trying for a week and it wasn’t working, but it got resolved while I was recording the screen :slight_smile:

Alright, let us know if the problem persists sooner (hopefully it will not). If it does, we would also prefer you to record a video of it since your workflow is completely normal and should not be causing such problems.

My file size is around 20 GB. I want to reduce it. If I delete the backup files shown in the screenshot, what will I lose?

Basically, you’ll lose the save points generated by the Auto-Save feature of D5 Render. I don’t recommend it since these back-ups may be helpful in the long run, especially when your file experiences some problems.

This is the same issue that you experienced before, right?

  • Can you confirm which D5 Livesync Version you are currently using? The latest version is currently at Version 1.5.0.0017, Please send us a screenshot.

  • It seems that this particular issue stems from the SKP Model based on the “black screen” that you have experienced, please try to optimize or purge your SKP file.

Let us know of the results, if updating to the latest version of the plug-in or optimizing your file does not work, we may need to collect both files for testing.

Yes, it was a problem I had encountered before. I updated the Live Sync plugin and synchronized the model by purging it. For now, everything seems fine. We managed to save it this time too, thank you so much. Hopefully, I won’t come back with a bigger problem :slight_smile:
