Sharing materials from one user/computer to another

Hi there, we are team of architecs currently working on a large project with many buildings and we are using D5 for the first time.
All the buildings in the project share the same materials, but they are scattered in different Revit models, and we need to work in our renders using different computers at the same time.
In order to match the material appearance in all our renders, we would like to know how to import/export materials (saved localy) from one user/computer to another.
For instance, if i am working in building A and i set the properties of a material applied to concrete, i want to be able to save those settings and share them with another user that is working on building B, so she/he can use the exact same settings on her/his building. Without wasting time repeating the work i just did and guaranteeing homogeneity to our renders.

Hi @tarribas

May I know which D5 Render Subscription are you using?

For PRO Subscribers - There is a widget called Merge Project Beta

Users can merge up to 10 files into one and boost teamwork productivity on big projects. To merge projects, you need to add at least two projects, set the options such as models, lights or scene shots to be merged in the projects respectively, and then choose the location of the file that generates the merged project. For Teams Subscription - The required workflow you have asked for is basically what D5 Teams is all about. There is a feature called Multi-editor where a single D5 File can be separated into different categories (e.g Landscape, Interior, Exterior, etc.). Team projects in the project library can be accessed by multiple members, but they can only be edited by one member at a time.

How to Use Multi Editing

Hello clovisbolasco14,
First of all let me thank you for taking the time to answer my question.
The videos you shared show pretty interesting stuff and we will definately be looking into all of that, but for now we have a little less ambicious agenda, which is to learn how to create a material library for each of our projects.
We used to work with Enscape before we discovered D5, and what we did was: once any of us was finished setting the properties of a material, we would save it generating a file (for each material) that we could later share with other users. All these users needed to do was to import these files (all at once if necessary) into the revit model through the enscape plug-in.
Since we changed to D5 we do not know how to do this. All we know is that after setting a material, it is saved localy and we are unabe to share it easily. What we do is that we access a D5 file hosting the materials we want to grab, select the material and save it localy, but this takes a lot of time when you intend to get 40+ different materials.
We are currently using the free version of D5.
