Hello guys , can someone share options for HDRI for normal sunny day. I mean sun light , exposure and every option for the best realistic results. Whats the best combo of sun light and exposure.
For example here , why are shadows on the greenary around house too dark. Can someone tell me tip how to put more light in that area around house .
Hi, you can download some nice HDRI from polyhaven
Besides, please turn off auto exposure, then you can increase the intensity of HDRI and sun,
and rotate the sun position to find a best place.
Besides, in the coming 2.4 version, the tree shadows will be improved.
Hello. Can I ask what settings you decided to go with? I’m new to D5 and I find that by default everything is massively over exposed on exterior images, so I’m changing so many settings with guesswork that I end up with something totally unrealistic. I can’t use HDRis because I need to show accurate shadows changing throughout the day.
Hello! Thank you for your feedback. If possible, could you share with us an image of your rendering so that we can better advise you.
If you are not satisfied with your exposure, I suggest you can turn off auto exposure and adjust the parameters of exposure local.
You can also try to adjust the sun parameter.
Do you feel satisfied with the results now? Feel free to let me know if you still feel you have a problem?
It’s ok at best, but it’s nothing like as good as others I have seen here. I think in terms of realism I’ve still got a lot to learn, the image below is my latest render attempt using an HDRi with the sun turned on and the highlights and shadow settings altered from default plus exposure reduced.
I know I’ll get to the standard I require eventually if I stick with it, but I’d rather use the environmental settings of an experienced user so I can work faster. Then my next problem is realistic grass

Maybe you can view the tutorial on our youtube channel.
BTW, there are a lot of scene express shared by other users in the forum, I suggest when you just start to use D5, you can download some scenes and try to learn some effects they use. Also, our AI Atmosphere Match can help you to achieve the effect you want more easily.
On the subject of grass, firstly I have to admit that our grass material templates currently have some effect deficiencies. But we are planning a big optimisation of this in 2.7 that will significantly improve the effect of grass. Currently if you are experiencing problems with no grass on the edges. First of all, you can try not to split the face that needs to use the grass material into too many pieces in your modelling software. If they are two adjacent faces, you can create them as one face. Secondly, you can try to use the brush tool to do some replanting of grass plants.
