Hello! I’m a new user with D5 Pro (switching from Enscape after 3 years), and I’m running into some issues with shadows (among other things that aren’t as important).
As you can see in this render, the roof overhangs are casting almost black shadows onto the walls and effectively deleting the siding material. I understand it’s black siding, but I don’t think it should be THAT dark? Am I correct?
We would love to test this on our end. Can you send us your file? You may send it to support@d5techs.com and have it titled ‘Clov-Forum Shadows on building too dark/black’
We apologize for the delayed response. The files were sent correctly last Friday, and our team operates Monday to Friday. Anyway, we have already tested your file and it seems that it has a different outcome compared to the images that you have attached here.
Does the file you sent have the same parameters that were used? I tried rendering it with PT and without PT, both seem not to have a relatively dark shadow.
I’ve updated my driver again and am still seeing the shadows too dark on my end. My system information is below:
Is there anything you see from this that could explain?
As well, If I use a lighter colour like you were in the examples, I get a better shadow as well. However, the actual siding is more of a black colour. Or is it the black colour that is the issue for the shadows?
Looking for a shadow more like this (example i found online):
I was checking if your graphics driver is not updated but it’s fine. Anyway, I tried changing it to a black color without changing the material template, and it gets dark considering the environment and atmosphere of the file.
