How can I create a semi transparent material like a parchment paper that create a lamp with inside a light.

I’m very curious how you do this! Can someone give a hint…Despite the fact I really love D5, I think the possibilities to create transparant materials are lacking. I also don’t see much development on the roadmap…:((

hi mate, you can try sss material, but the effect may not be very satisfying. we are still working on a better solution to that.

Was struggling with the same thing. Tried the cloth material, you can see the result (first image) and then used the SSS material. Much better, though the effect is still not 100% what i was/am trying to achieve.
Thank you for the update, we will look into it, hope can have a better performance asap.
