Pretty new to D5 and loving it so far!
I used the scatter tool to create a grove of trees. I’d like to save the grove and reuse it in other models. Is there a way to do this?
Hi there, welcome to D5 Render. You can store presets that you have made from Environmental Effects, Scatter, Brush, and Path through D5 Studio. Then, you can reuse these presets to any of your other projects. Thank you
Hmm. that repeats the scatter, but I would like to just add the scatter results to my model.
I saved it as a model and it creates a .drs file, but I can’t find a way to import that.
Currently, you can not import a .drs file and insert it into another .drs file; hence, you can not copy and paste models, assets, etc., from one D5 Render file to another. The only method, for now, is to store your scatter presets in D5 Studio or your assets in the local library or add them to the Favorites Tab (for navigation). We are greatly considering the aforementioned method, perhaps this will be supported in subsequent releases. Thank you
