Scatter area cull falloff effect always works

Hi everyone,

I tried to create a scatter on my model and add some cull effect. When I create cull effect it works but it also effect from the first floor too as falloff. I checked falloff area is not on.

Hi there,

I apologise for the inconvenience. Have you tried reducing the grass’ length? If you have and it is still evident, you may want to change the material of the surface where your building is standing, leaving other areas as grass. Thank you.

Hi thank you for answer.
Before this I tried some alternative ways. I reduced the length but there are some objects that stands thin on the grass so I need to use cull effect on this. I solved the problem for this model. I placed some grouped vegetable to those empty areas but I guess this is a thing that must be solved in general.

Hi there,

Would it be possible for you to send us your scene files for further testing? If you agree to do so, you may send it to support@d5techs.com and have it titled “Clov-Forum Scatter Area Cull Falloff”

Thank you.

Hi again,

I sent via wetransfer.com.

Thank you for your interest.

Hi there,

Thank you for sending us your D5 Project Files.

  • I tested it, and you can press “X” to switch from “select model” to “select material” in order for the Cull Effect to be applied to the interior surface of the structure.

  • As for the scatter tool avoiding some portions of the surface despite having the same material, it is currently a bug, and our team has already begun repairing it. Thank you.

Hi,

Materials and model comes from Archicad 26. While this bug continues, I will change the materials one by one before export it.

I’m glad that I could help to improve D5.

Thank you. :black_heart:

Hi there @murats35,

We have found out that the area where the scatter tends to avoid (the area where you covered it with an asset) seems to have a “Cull Effect” placed. You can simply delete the cull effect and the scatter will generate normally.

Hi,

I placed that asset due to that gap actually.

The problem is that I need to choose 2 materials for cull effect. And these materials also placed on first floor. The materials from first floor creats cull effect to the ground floor.

I mean I cant delete cull effects from materials.

Hi there,

Thanks for the clarification. I was able to do the operation and it seems that adding a cull effect in interior floor surfaces will generate the issue. I will report this back to my team. Thank you.
