Saving Problem

Hi dear
I have two problem
1- after I finish my work in d5 render I close it then the next day I opened the file but it was empty as you see in the attached pic
I try to use the backup file but it opens one time only and I cant save it or make any change when I closed it and re-open it also empty
the big problem was I lost my contract with my customer because I was having a meeting with him to see the design and he told me I’m wasting his time because the file was empty
and to know this not the first time

the second problem is the VR

I used the VR option but I found some echoes

1- some of the reflections material becomes a glow

2- there’s a delay

3- the stability of the view is down so i can use it for more than 5 minutes

4- I lose some of the realty quality

5- the sense becomes darker

Hi aenepa,
Sorry to hear that you ran into this problem. From your description and the screenshot, I think the file may be edited externally (is it stored on a third-party online place like onedrive?), or the file path exceeds the limitation of Windows system (256 characters)?

Regarding how to use the autosave feature and recover the file with it, I hope this video could help:
D5 Render 2.1 | Auto Save & View history versions - YouTube

At last, if possible, please compress the file which had the problem and send it to my email ziyin.zhu@d5techs.com, and we will check the file to find the issue cause.

  1. Regarding the VR function, it is still in beta status, and the image quality is between middle and high quality in the preview mode. (It has shadows, but does not have reflections)
Do not set the FPS at high level, and it should work better. In D5 2.4, we are going to optimize the VR function, thanks.

Best regards,
Oliver

iget the same problem again and auto save is not getting me back my file

hi, when d5 2.4 come out? :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

hi, it will probably come out next month. The alpha testing has started.

Hi aenepa,
Sorry to hear that. Could you please send the scene file to support@d5techs.com?
It sounds abnormal, and we will help you check whether we can recover the file and why the problem happened.
For troubleshooting, could you let me know whether the file was saved in a NAS?
