On the first day, Rhino files were modified on Computer 1 and saved as a D5 file. On the next day, a new D5 file was created and saved on Computer 2. Both computers connected to the same Rhino work session file via LiveSync, but each computer linked to a different D5 file during LiveSync.
Since material and environment settings have been updated, I want to connect the D5 file worked on Computer 2 to Computer 1, but it only links to the previous version of the file.
How can I ensure that the final D5 file is accessible from any computer when creating a new D5 file?
Please follow this sequence: First, open your D5 Render file. Then, open your 3D model in Rhino. Finally, activate the LiveSync plugin. You’ll receive a window prompting you to create a new connection between the files. Since D5 File 2 originated on Computer 2, the current connection on Computer 1, which points to D5 File 1, needs to be changed.
I followed the above process, but instead of updating the link path, a new modeling file overlaps. I want to replace only the model while keeping the mapping intact. I’m wondering if this is related to a licensing issue.
So basically, after you have prompted the window to either replace the model or Sync it with a new linkage, the model is not showing in the window prompt?
Perhaps your 3d model or D5 File is placed in a cloud storage like Google Drive or Onedrive. If so, I suggest downloading it and placing it locally first, then proceeding to work with it. We have yet to optimize this workflow. Let me know.
