Rhino . Sync with isolate

Hi,
I’m working on a project and trying to figure out a good workflow for D5 and Rhino, since I’m comming from enscape my goal is to rely mostly in Rhino and just finish in D5.

Here is a problem I notice today.

I’m working in a smal complexity test project but from time to time I have to isolate geometry in Rhino to make pontual adjustments in geometry, material,…

If I solate everything and then unisolate D5 will re import everything, really time consuming but the same happens in Enscape.

The workaround in Enscape is to stop sync > Isolate > Edit > unisolate > Restart sync.

But with D5 it takes a lot of time to make the changes even if they are really low on complexity wich is prohibitive because it takes a good amount of time and to make things worse it is not even a complex project, imagine in a complex one.

Is there a workaround for this in D5?

Hi there,

There’s no Isolate or Unisolate option in D5 Render. You may try disabling the Live-sync Plug-in if you’re making some changes then reactivate it again.

This should not be happening on a simple project (we have yet to encounter such a problem from other users, yours is the first one), in a complex project, then it might be possible to experience it. Additionally, you may want to check:

  • Rhino Plug-in Version
    Rhino
  • D5 Render Version

Another method is to try to:

  • Directly Import the Model to D5 - Any updates made, you may need to reload your file.
