Rhino 7+D5 mapping error with meshes

Hello,

I wanted to switch from Lumion to D5, but right now I am struggling with mapping materials. I already changed everything in Rhino to “box” mapping so that the scale of textures would be correct. My problem is that due to precision I have a portion of the rhino model that is a mesh and the rest of the model is a regular polysurface. The normal rhino solids look much like lumion but all of the meshes(accurate landscape piece and surrounding houses) look crazy. How to map material onto a rhino mesh so that it looks exactly like the polysurfaces?

Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060
Driver version: 546.33
Rhino 7

Hello @lillvolmer123,

Thanks for reaching out. This error occurs because D5 plugin doesn’t support any texture mapping parameter (including box mapping) in Rhino yet, so it is possible to have an abnormal effect of plugin importing, and also the abnormal effect of directly importing the file. However, we have raised the demand to our product department, and it will be probably supported in the subsequent versions. Thanks for understanding.

Regards,
