Hello! Just wondering… how do I turn on the lights in the render??
I use Revit 2021, D5 converter and D5 render 1.9.1.0296 PRO.
The specs says that it should support “Revit light sync” when:
Synchronization of light source types (point light, spotlight, strip light, rectangular light), positions, sizes (for rectangular/strip light). Other parameters of light sources are not supported for synchronization and should be configured within D5 Render.
The lights show in Revit render, but not in D5. What am I missing? Please help.
Hello Cristian, please check the message I sent you privately. The latest beta version of Revit plugin should have fixed this problem, please give it a try. All lights work with latest exporter.
If it’s possible, can you send me this specific file so I can test it on my end? You may send it to support@d5techs.com and have it titled ‘Clov-Forum Revit Light Source Not Showing’. Please let me know if you have sent it already
My current plugin version is 0.4.7.0001. I have just sent the files to support@d5techs.com. As you’ll see, I’ve included both the family file that D5 isn’t recognizing and the main project file where it’s loaded.
I also wanted to report another issue I encountered. I recently tried updating the plugin to the latest version, 0.4.8.0005. With that version, the syncing process from Revit to D5 Render would get stuck and never complete. I had to revert to the previous version, 0.4.7.0001, which allows the sync to work properly.
You can use the project file I sent to test this, as it’s the one that fails to sync with the new plugin version 0.4.8.0005. It seems there may be a bug in the latest update.
Thank you for looking into both of these problems.
The Light Source Issue - This issue stems from your model (family) and not a D5 issue. Anyway, it seems that your light source is labelled as “Light Fixture” instead of “Light Source”, I deleted it and replaced it with another Light Source, and it is syncing normally after clicking “Sync Lights”
