Renders: They aren't saving.

I’m using AI on my renderings. When I save the image simply doesn’t save. Mind blown by this! It’s cost me hours today. I see this has been an issue for a while.

Lots of things work awesome in D5. Sometimes it’s the little things that break the camel’s back. This is one of those.

Just to clarify, your AI Tools are working fine on your end, but the problem occurs when they’re saved? If this is the case, have you tried saving it to another file location, such as the Desktop?

I’ll try that thanks. I have looked into the post history and seen that this has occurred at times in the past. So much stuff you guys do is so good. It’s silly that this trips up your users. Windows 11 of course is a total piece of crap that could be causing it who knows.

There may be various reasons as to why it is happening. For starters, you can check if you have enough permissions in that specific folder address.

Very unlikely as it’s just a regular folder. I’ll try saving in a different location today see if that helps.

Alright, let me know if it works saving to different location or the Desktop.

Saving to a different folder works thank-you. It is a bug with D5 there’s nothing wrong with the folder I’m saving to. It appears D5 just won’t save to the same folder where my render output goes. And it happens to be the default folder.

Thanks for your update. Can you check if the default folder has “Full Control”? You can right-click the folder, then Properties > Security > Edit

The render will save but downloaded any upscaled image won’t save. It only saves on the desktop. It’s a pain but at least I can get access to the image.
I won’t be manually adding special permissions to each and every folder where I want to save an upscaled imaged. I’m just downloading it after all am I not?

Indeed, if you do have full permission it will save regardless of what you are trying to render or download and if it’s otherwise, then it wouldn’t allow any downloads (any kind of image).
