Render result creating artifacts

Hello!

I have been trying to work out why does D5 create this strange effect on the lighting of the design feature on the back wall. It looks similar to what I got when I tested D5 SR. But these results are with various setting in path tracing. I tried to turn it off too but it didnt help. The image names are the setting for each rendering. The best result was with GI and Reflections set to 3 and SPP to 64. When I tried SPP at 512 it didnt really improve that much but the render time shot up.

I know I am missing something simple here, please help me out.

Thanks a lot!

Hi @kafkaja6

Are you perhaps talking about the light artifacts from the strip light? If so, please disable “Cast Shadow” when activating the material’s emissive option.

Other than that, I apologize, but I can’t seem to notice the differences in the images. Can you please point out the issue? Looking forward to your reply.

Idk why it didnt attach the file in full res. Its exactly what you noticed. in full res the light strip looks really blurry. The edge blends with the light.

Ill try to disable the cast shadow option:)

Hi @kafkaja6

Does disabling the cast shadow do anything to improve the scene?

  • Additionally, did you also enable Depth of Field? Currently, there’s an issue with it that makes some edges blurry, although it is only noticeable in the final render and not in the preview screen.
