thx you ,
Hi alek.gilot. Some time ago I had installed D5 1.4, which was in C, without thinking I reinstalled the program in F which was empty, because the size of the disk on my laptop was different, that is, C with 500G and the other F with 1500G, I organized F to install programs, work and more, the system responded well, but at the time of 1.4 I wasn’t PRO, when I became PRO, the updates automatically went into the F folder in ‘Program Files (F)’. However, I must say that in the hidden AppData reference folder there is a residue of the D5 1.4 program, which doesn’t cause me any problems, so I didn’t delete it. I must say that even when the updates arrived the program responded very well with a 16G GTX 1070 laptop, so this thing I tell you is my positive experience, now it is a decision that YOU have to make to work with peace of mind.
I WISH YOU GOOD WORK
Sorry for the English
Edit :
I reinstall on the F: I can confirm the temp( cache ) files are Staying on C: Sad news
how can I relocate the temp on F:
thx

Hi there. I apologize for the inconvenience this issue has caused. Just to confirm, are you perhaps talking about the D5 Workspace folder? Thank you.
When I open the project , it filed for 30 Giga bit in cache
When I load an FBX to convert in .d5 asset it take some cache , it seem to load all the texture,
as soon I close the project the 30 giga become available again,
C:\Users\a.gilot\AppData\Roaming\temp\Streaming
here from 16Giga to 30 Giga depend of the project,
when I close the projet the file “streaming” disappear,
the question is can I relocate this Streaming cache folder
else where on F (100 Giga free)
thx
Hi there, Temp files created by D5 or any other program temporarily store information while a task is performed. Many programs, including D5 Render, are designed to delete temp files once they are no longer needed.
Thus, upon restarting D5, files in this directory will be automatically removed. If the D5 scene has been saved, the related files in the temp directory will be automatically transferred to the location of the saved D5 scene. As of now, we have yet to implement a setting or feature that allows users to modify the location of the temp files aside from their default location.
If you have not migrated your D5 WorkSpace folder to the larger storage, I suggest doing so. You can easily do it by:
- Open D5 Render
- Proceed to Preferences
- Then Asset Storage
Note: Please ensure that you have the administrative rights of the file location that you will be transferring the workspace folder.
understand, thx
already transfer Assets storage
thx.
