Reloading model error; same faces/polygons count

so i remodelled some element in multiple models of an project of mine.

on the left the old model on the right the new with much less faces/polygons.
(left the railing was to complex, so i remodelled those)

i have this old model in d5 ready.
but when i reload. the facescount is the same… how? do i someting wrong?
are the old polygons/faces in cache of the d5 render file ?

the reason i ask is i have a big project ans i optimized multiple building like this. i also use often ‘reload from local folder’

Hi there @3d-ontwerp-visualisa

I assume this specific model was already reloaded with the updated/optimized version. Were you able to restart your device or D5 Render itself? You may also want to try disabling “Show Statistics” and enabling it again. The numbers that are reflected here do not update immediately and may take a few minutes to be updated.

Can you check it now and see if the number of faces has changed?

I have nevar saved it after because i thouht there was an error.

Is it good. to reload the models save it and than restart?

Hi @3d-ontwerp-visualisa

It should work as you described. Any issues would be a bug and should be reported. :astonished:

indeed a restart is needed to see the new polycount after reloading a smaller model.

maybe a future update they will show accurate stats?

Hi @3d-ontwerp-visualisa

Thanks for the update. We will optimize this feature sooner inorder to provide an accurate number.
