In my animation, the wooden frames are reflected in the black shelves. This reflection flickers from dark to light. Is there anything I can do about it? In the single rendering, everything looks correct. The D5 SR function is off. I tried with “Super resolution” on and off. The same flickering…
i am using the 2.8.0.0469

Hello. I checked your video. Is the lighting in the video added as light source in D5 or is it using self-luminous? If it’s self-luminous, check to see if the self-luminous faces are interspersed with the rest of the model, which could cause flickering.
Thank you for fast reply. Here are no self luminating faces. All lights in this area are rectangular D5 lights. The wooden strips on which the shelves are hung do not have any luminous material.
I reduced the reflection of the black shelves to solve the problem. But there seem to be an issue with calculating reflections in animations. At another point in my animation, the reflection of a curtain in a glass surface also flickers.
Thanks for the reply. I think you can check the following two issues:
- whether your model is too far from the origin. Models that are too far from the origin can cause flickering problems.
- if your rect lights are set too thin, this may also cause flickering. You can adjust their size appropriately.
If you check and find that the current problem has nothing to do with the two reasons, you can send us your scene file to check.
