RECTANGULAR LIGHT randomly not glowing

here i attach 2 images, 1 is 3d elevation another 1 is 2d elevation…
both got error which is the light is not glowing…all were the same light setup which is rectangular light with show light shape is on. but glowing effect got random.

Hello, has your software prompted any errors? If so maybe you could provide me with a screenshot. Also, please check the number of lights in your scene, as you have a high number of lights in your scene, this may be the reason for the error.

Hi @3duser1,

What’s the version of your D5 Render?
Are you using orthogonal views?
Does this problem occur in both the preview and the output?

d5 version 2.5.2
orthogonal views for 2nd images…first image normal view
in preview everything not occur glowing effect but the shape/light is there

Hi, @3duser1,

Inconsistency between orthogonal view preview and output is one of the known issues at the moment, we will optimise it in a later version. We recommend you use normal view like first image currently.
Regarding the glowing effect, please try to reduce the value of the bloom parameter and see the effect.

Do you only have some of the lights not glowing in the preview, or are some of the lights not glowing in the rendered image as well? If your rendered images are normal, then this issue is probably not abnormal. In fact, when the number of lights exceeds 40, the lighting effects in the preview window may not match the rendered results for the sake of efficiency in using the software. Another possibility is that the culling distance is causing distant lights to not show up in the preview. If the result of your rendering is also not normal, then I suggest you send us your D5 file.

if reduce the bloom still the same, light setting still the same…bloom effected on random lights…if render from close up got no problem…just from overall/wide shot

Please also check if lights not glowing part are in the same plane as other normally illuminated lights, you can try to move several abnormal lights slightly and see the results.
If it’s convenient, can you send the scene file (The entire folder where the .drs file is located) to support@d5techs.com, and please describe the problem, we can check it for you.

Bloom effect is dependent on screen-space. If light source is too small then no matter how much you factor the bloom effect threshold it will not make a difference in intensity. Auto-exposure can also effect this if lights are different sizes/intensities. I would render a huge resolution to test and see if bloom is visible on all of those lights…

I recommend rendering at the largest resolution you can and disabling auto-exposure if enabled to see if that helps.
