problem with smooth LED strip

Hello, I need some advice regarding LED strips. After rendering, the strip is jagged/the edge is not smooth.

My procedure: in the model, I have one material on the shelf and another on the LED strip. In D5R, I apply the material to the shelf and another material to the strip. I add Emissive approx. 4. I add Strip Light with the Show Light Shape parameter off. After rendering, the strip is jagged. I’ve tried everything possible and the result is still the same. It’s not a nice smooth strip. Does anyone have any experience with this? I don’t want to do post-production. Thank you.

I apologize, but this is currently a known issue regarding D5’s anti-aliasing. For now, you may:

  • bring the linear lights closer to the surface of the shelf (just enough to make it seem natural).
  • Try to render in an animation sequence; it produces better anti-aliasing.
