Problem with assets search,

I have a problem, when i type a search term in assets search, then d5 keeps on remembering the same term even after I have cleared the term. So when I try to scroll and look for other assets manually, the software keeps on narrowing my search to the previous search term unless I type another term. it seems like once you type an asset seach name, it stays in the memory even after clearing it.

Please help or I am missing some steps.

This problem also happened to me, but as you delete it, highlighting it and clicking delete, this is not how it is done in this program, next to the text on the right there is X you have to click to delete.
