hello,
I have a problem of correspondence between the axes of the sketchup model and those of the d5 model
axes don’t match.
it seems that D5 has forever recorded the position of the skp model axes at the first synchronization. I’ve corrected the axes in skp but it doesn’t do anything in d5 and I’m wasting time.
thanks for your help
Hi there. Please try enabling/clicking this button to see if it fixes the coordinates. You can also check this link for further information: How to switch between an object's own coordinates and world coordinates? | User Manual. Let me know if this helps, thank you.
hello,
no, that’s not it: if i import an asset, its axes are not the same as the model’s. it’s practical to be able to install electrical outlets without having to rotate each object, and i can’t do that anymore.
Hi,
I tried to replicate the issue to understand it better. The axis was updated after I modified it and resynced the SKP file to D5. D5 Render’s assets follow the default axis of the 3d Modeling software.

You can try to right-click the asset and select “Sync Coordinate” and see if there are any differences. Otherwise, you may want to send us your files so we can test it on our end. Thank you.
hello, yes I tryed to sync pivot, but no way.
no, it’s always the same, I’ve tried “exploding” the first group of the skp model, synchronized again, tested “sync pivot” again and the problem hasn’t been solved.

I’ve just done the test: d5 doesn’t take into account the change of pivot at the model root in sketchup.
Sync pivot works within a group or component.
I’ve tried all configurations
the only way to correct this problem is to orientate the model geometry in advance according to the axes of the sketchup model root. You just need to know this beforehand
Hi there,
Have you perhaps tried resetting your SKP axis then proceed to sync pivot or sync coordinates in D5 Render? Let me know. Thank you.
