Please log in with your EDU account on the bound device

I just changed my workstation from my laptop to a desktop. when i tried to log into my EDU account it says the following “Please log in with your EDU account on the bound device”.
Ive logged out from my laptop and the problem still persists.
Please provide a solution.

Hi, I’m an architect, I often read almost everyone on the forum to stay up to date, if I’m not mistaken, in this case when the first time you associated with the EDU formula with this device ‘your laptop’, it will be the only access for D5 EDU, you cannot use other devices. This thing has also happened to other students or professors, but I don’t know if with a new installation with a different subscription and a new registration link to D5 EDU you can have access, there is a regulation that talks about this thing, if I’m not mistaken, but I’m sure the EDU formula can be used on the device when you signed up.

So apart from trying to reinstall it by signing in from my desktop there is no other way to solve this?? I also used my personal email trying to get the EDU license but it didnt allow it. only when using the mail provided by my institute was i able to get the license. Will D5 support be of any help?

Hi, I can’t answer the question you’re asking me, I have the PRO license, I just wanted to make you understand that you can’t use the EDU license for another PC. Regarding your EDU you just have to make another request through the school secretary with a different account, but I don’t know if they accept it with the same registration name, you will have to discuss it with the D5 team, sorry, I can’t help you in this case, I just gave you some information on how it can work, if I’m not mistaken. You should contact one of the team for clarification.

Hello, I’m here to assist you. To safeguard your personal information, changing the registered device, including its hardware, is strictly prohibited. Therefore, should you need to transition to a different device, we advise reapplying after your current license has expired and logging in on the new device. Thank you once again for your understanding and support!
