Are there some tips where i can place them (with scatter)
With that my laptop with 16GB 3080 RTX (32GB RAM) does not overheat?
i offcourse place the trees per island in a seperate layer.

i need to complete fill the area with trees. the little blocks are bungelow/houses.

Hi @3d-ontwerp-visualisa

Thank you for getting in touch. It seems like you have a large project, which might be causing some issues due to the file size. Laggy hardware and overheating problems can often be traced back to the hardware’s inability to handle the project efficiently. It can also be helpful to always consider the file size of every project.

For your situation, it would be beneficial to optimize your resources, starting by simplifying the houses/buildings by creating a shell and using low-polygon foliage if you’re working on an aerial view or animation. Additionally, consider deleting any unnecessary or hidden objects that are not visible from the viewpoint of your render or animation. Alternatively, you can focus solely on the area where you want the scene to be created to reduce the file size.

It’s also important to check your dedicated GPU memory usage when running the file. If it runs at more than 80%, there might be an issue.

You can try opening one of our D5 demo scenes to gauge your hardware’s performance.

Let me know if my suggestions work on your end.

Thank you.
