Hello D5 Render Community,
I hope you’re all doing well. I’m reaching out to seek assistance with a persistent issue I’ve been experiencing with D5 Render. Despite following various optimization steps and troubleshooting methods, my system continues to reset unexpectedly while using the software. I’ve already contacted D5 Render support and sent them the log files from the D5 Support Tool, but while waiting for their response, I thought I’d turn to this knowledgeable community for any insights or suggestions.
System Configuration
- GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 12GB (Driver Version: 32.0.15.7602)
- CPU: Intel Core i7-9700K @ 3.60GHz
- RAM: 32GB
- OS: Windows 11 Pro
- Power Supply: Corsair CX750M 750W
- D5 Render Version: Education (latest version installed)
Steps Taken to Troubleshoot
I’ve tried several methods to resolve the issue, including:
- Updating the GPU drivers to the latest version via GeForce Experience.
- Optimizing D5 Render Preferences (e.g., Global Quality: Medium, Ray Tracing: Medium, DLSS: Performance Mode, LOD enabled, Cull Distance adjusted).
- Closing background applications (such as Revit, AutoCAD, OBS Studio) to avoid resource conflicts.
- Adjusting GeForce Experience settings (Power Management Mode: Prefer maximum performance, Low Latency Mode: On).
- Monitoring GPU/CPU temperatures (staying below 85°C for GPU and 90°C for CPU) and VRAM usage (within limits).
- Running the D5 Support Tool and sending the logs to D5 Render support.
Recent Benchmark Results
- FPS: 29.48
- Total Time: 03:02 (2K Image: 00:56, 1080p Video: 02:07)
Issue Description
The system reset occurs unexpectedly, typically when rendering complex scenes or using features like real-time ray tracing. There are no specific error messages before the reset; the system simply reboots without warning. This happens even after applying the optimizations mentioned above. I’ve also checked the Windows Event Viewer, but haven’t found any critical errors related to the resets (e.g., no “Kernel-Power” or “WHEA” errors).
Additional Notes
- The issue persists even with simpler scenes, though it’s more frequent with heavier ones.
- I’ve ensured that my system meets D5 Render’s requirements, and the power supply is sufficient.
- I’ve also tried reinstalling D5 Render, but the problem remains.

Has anyone in the community encountered a similar issue with system resets while using D5 Render? If so, were you able to find a solution or workaround? Any suggestions on further steps I can take to diagnose or resolve this problem would be greatly appreciated. I’m open to trying additional troubleshooting methods or providing more details if needed.
Thank you in advance for your time and support!
