Paralell Render Glitches

Hello!

Attached is an image showing my issue - I am having a hard time getting paralell images to render properly. They have worked fine in the past on the same project, but now they glitch out? I can’t load it in precise mode either, the view completely glitches out and doesn’t load, runs real slow and eventually I can get it back to normal perspective.

Image in the following link - too big to upload here!

Pls help!

Hi @lachlan.mensforth

I apologize for the inconvenience. It might be best for us to collect your file so we can also test it on our end and see if the results are the same.

Hello Clov,

I have sent an email with my files attached to support@d5techs.com - let me know how you go with it!

Thanks so much.

Hi @lachlan.mensforth

I tested your file on my end. There’s a lot of visual flickering that is happening when clicking the following scenes:

  • Basically, every scene that has Parallel View > Isometric they all have intense flickering, which is very unnatural.

  • May I also know if this is the only file that is experiencing this issue?

  • We will be further investigating and troubleshooting this issue to find out more and hopefully we can find the specific reason as to why it is behaving this way.

Hello Clov,

It ended up working fine and the flickering stopped, but has since returned. No idea what the cause is. Haven’t had it on any other files before, and this is currently the only D5 file I have to work/test it on.

I have managed to render a few parallel views, but the flickering has since returned.

It appears to be only flickering the shadows cast from the sunlight - when I change from custom or geo sky to HDRI, the flickering goes away. But I can’t get the renders anywhere near as nice without the custom or geo sky.

Hi @lachlan.mensforth

The flickering only appears in parallel views, right? When I tested your file, the 2-point perspective and perspective seem to be fine.

Correct, only happens in the paralell views!

Hi @lachlan.mensforth

There’s currently no immediate fix for this issue. We will try our best to address this issue in the next version.
