Panning "destroyed" in 2.11

Hi D5-Team,

In older versions of D5, you could pan the view using the MMB. This was very useful. In the new 2.11, this has been disabled. Panning the view is now only possible in Orbit mode and with SHIFT+MMB. Why can’t I pan the view like this in Fly mode anymore? This is extremely annoying. And in the settings, this option is grayed out, preventing you from customizing it. Please allow these options to be configured yourself.
Second point: Why is the “Perspective” and “Parallel” view assigned the same key? And this can’t be customized either.

regards

Hi @Albareus

  • Which version are you talking about that allowed panning via MMB? 2.10.2 does not have this in fly mode since WASD keys are the primary movement controls, which mimic panning movement.
  • Perspective and Parallel view do have the same P key, which follows the logic of having it pressed once will activate Two-Point and the second time, parallel view.

We’ll be sure to take your feedback into account. Thank you~

Hi @Clov

Thanks for the quick reply. I’ve been working with D5 for a long time, and in all older versions, I was able to use panning with the MMB in the views (top view, side view). It’s only in the new 2.11 that this no longer works.
