I’m making a view from a house that overlooks the ocean. But i cant seem to find at good way to create a water horizon line. The terrain only spans so far and you still see the terrain behind the water. What is the best approach here?
I have the model in SketchUp and the terrain closets to the house is modelled ind 3D, the terrain is then sculpted to a lower level and a simple square is mapped with water material.
It seems that your model is situated far from the axis. Have you tried modifying your X and Y values close to 0,0?
Try placing a Basic Plane Model on top of the surface of the terrain, then change its material to a Water Material, then modify the depth value. The plane could either have a huge distance from the terrain, just to create an illusion, since we have yet to have global ocean settings.
thx, i fixed it with som distance fog and moving the terran a little higher and the view a little lower. Still would be nice with a feature that would allow for a ocean horizon.
