I am not able to import 3dm models with textures and/or mapping.
I have found, that if I export my 3dm / rhino model to skp, then I am able to import the model including mapping and textures. - But in my mind, this is an unnecessary step.
3dm should be OK with mapping and textures. fbx may not be ok. You can try to sync the model directly from Rhino to D5 by the converter which supports better for textures.
Can you send us the model and d5 file for troubleshooting if it still happens? support@d5techs.com
I think that I have found the issue. I tried to use the sync function and it did work. But! If I am in “Rendered” mode in Rhino 6 and press “Synchronize live updates of models and materials”, it will just show a white surface if the textures is placed in a block.
If I switch to “Shaded” mode and sync again, it will show textures.
It looks like it an issue, that only occurs in blocks.
I have the same issue with Rhino exports into the D5 Render. The 3D model with all layers and material synchronised comes as one entity. Applying textures to different geometry is impossible.
