Need help with a render

Hi everyone,
I’m using a student license and trying to get a render from D5, but the program keeps crashing. I have a project deadline tomorrow and I’m really stuck. I’ve tried all the solutions shared on the forum, but nothing has worked so far.

I’m working with an RTX 3060 Ti, but I keep getting a “low VRAM” error.
I’ve uploaded my scene file to a shared drive, and I’m looking for someone who could help me render the saved scenes.

It would mean a lot if someone could support me—any help before tomorrow’s deadline would be greatly appreciated

Thanks in advance!

Hi @20251811

This issue is usually evident when you have used a lot of assets in your D5 Render file without proper asset management. Can you share with us your System Information and VRAM Info?

Solution:

It’s best to optimize your file by deleting assets, especially vegetation assets created by scatter, path tool, etc. But if you are unable to open your file normally inorder to optimize it then it might be best to delete your f2 folder, which contains pak files.

  • If the file fails to open, please delete the ‘f2’ folder under your WorkSpace path and then reopen the archive. Once it’s open, refrain from updating the assets until you have lightened your scene file by deleting some assets, including procedurally generated vines. This will help prevent it from crashing again due to excessive video memory usage.
